[Report] We Are Definitely, DEFINITELY Getting A Resident Evil 3 REmake
Resident Evil fans: you’re definitely getting a REmake of part 3 featuring everybody’s favourite S.T.A.R.-loving buddy, the Nemesis.
According to console stat tracker Gamstat.com, the tool uncovered official-looking PSN Store artwork for the upcoming REmake. The game will also be out for PC and Xbox One if the last game is of any indication.
I do wonder if protagonist Jill Valentine will retain her skirt from the PS1 game. Something tells me that this game may make its debut at this year’s Jump Fiesta. Or at this year’s Game Awards. It’s anybody’s guess at this point.
….especially since the Resident Evil 2 REmake came out early this year. Well, you have to keep in mind that RE3 was supposed to be a spin-off featuring a new character before Capcom decided to shove in Jill Valentine in all of this.
Old-school players and RE aficionados should already know that Resident Evil 3: Nemesis reuses most of RE2’s assets, but created a kind of cat-and-mouse gameplay in its survival horror trappings. So it makes sense to not only reuse a lot of the RE2 REmake’s assets but also publish and develop this game in a shorter amount of time.
It’s not a complete copypasta job though; the Nemesis in this version will most likely have new attacks, brandish its own set of heavy weapons, and be even more of a persistent threat than Mr. X.
Just one special request: I would like a special hardcore mode in this RE3 where both Mr. X AND the Nemesis are pursuing you in Raccoon City.
