Borderlands 3 Reveals Wild West-Themed DLC, Out End Of June
I find it rather funny that after talking about how cool Red Dead Redemption was, Gearbox goes ahead and announce a Western-themed Borderlands 3 expansion.
Dubbed Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, this DLC takes place on a new planet called Gehenna, a world filled with gangs of “beast riders” you need to take down. The new tale is a “harsh story of revenge and redemption” featuring a new cast of characters like reformed brawler Juno and your tour guide Rose. You also get a Jet Beast mount which you’ll use for just that planet; it’s half-machine, half-dinosaur.
Another interesting tidbit is that the samurai Western town, Vestige, will change based on your actions in the DLC, like storefronts reopening and the local theatre showing lost film reels.
And of course, the DLC will be introducing more Legendary weapons and armaments. A shame that there aren’t any cameos of Borderlands characters like Salvador, Athena, and Fiona; we had Timothy the Doppleganger and Gaige the Mechromancer in past DLCs. What happened?
At least we have this tease of the fourth DLC to look forward to. Hello, Krieg the Psycho!
Look out for this DLC when it’s out 25th June.
There’s going to be a new Takedown raid called Takedown at the Guardian Breach. This new Takedown will be an extreme challenge four-player raid featuring trick puzzles, areas where the team needs to split up temporarily, and low-gravity platforming, along with oodles of high-level enemies to defeat.
If these new Guardians are anything like the previous ones we’ve fought, you’ll need to start packing shock weapons to get a leg up. This Takedown will be available on 4th June; basically when the Cartel mini-event is done.
And here’s a SHIFT code for more Golden Keys for your troubles: CB53B-WJTTJ-HJCZC-HBK3T-F3RX5.
