WB Games To Be Broken Up Following AT&T WarnerMedia Discovery Merger

Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (best known as WB Games) will likely be broken up and split up as a result of a parent-company merger, as owner AT&T has merged WarnerMedia with Discovery to create an all-new company. What this means is that entertainment and media-related companies such as WB Games and even DC Comics will be shifted around.

According to Stephen Totilo and Julia Alexander on Twitter, this new deal will impact WB Games in some way. Apparently, some studios under the publisher will move over to this new company while others will remain under AT&T. The 11 studios under WB Games include Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Games, Batman Arkham franchise developer Rocksteady, LEGO games developer TT Games, and others.

This doesn’t bode well for games in development from studios under WB Games, including Gotham Knights, Hogwarts Legacy, Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League and LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, amongst others. It remains to be seen how this merger will ultimately affect all these games and studios.
