PC & PS5 Versions Of Uncharted 4 Are Removing Multiplayer

The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection for PC and PS5 may not feature online play from the PS4 original.

According to a recent ESRB classification update, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves (which features Uncharted 4) will not include a multiplayer component and “interactive elements”. This is despite Uncharted 4 featuring a pretty fun competitive multiplayer mode and co-op survival mode for the original PS4 version of Uncharted 4 (via VG Chronicles).

So far there’s no reason stated from Sony as to why the publisher would choose not to include multiplayer in the collection. Which makes the recent humble-brag post about Uncharted’s stats for its 5th-anniversary celebration referencing its multiplayer player count a bit bizarre in retrospect.

On a related note, the Uncharted movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland is going along fine with a scheduled 18th February 2022 release date.
