Anno Mutationem Gets Major Update; Fixes Ending
Anno Mutationem is a pretty awesome 2D action game with gorgeous visuals, a lovely soundtrack, and a pretty roundabout anime plot. That last part was made all the more obtuse with how the game ended originally.
Thankfully, developer Lightning Games has fixed that and added a few more things with its latest major update. Anno Mutationem’s 1.04 update features the following.
1. Added new costumes (Alienware, Office Girl)
2. Added Easy Mode
3. Added new ending
The update also fixes a couple of bugs and tweak the game’s balance. Here’s a list:
Bug Fixes
1. Optimized the checkpoint of Immortal Lizard
2. Fixed the problem of some text out of the box
3. Fixed the problem of missing avatars in some dialogues
4. Fixed the bug of the position of fighting robots in the training ground
5. Fixed the problem of inaccurate guidance.
6. Fixed the problem of misplaced points in the protection of enemy soldiers.
Balance Adjustments
2. Adjusted the behavior logic of some flying machines
3. Adjusted the attack point of some enemy soldiers
4. Adjusted the display of enemy HP
Good stuff all around, especially for a game that deserves its praise for its action and visuals. Oh, and if you’re curious as to how the game ends this time around, go past the spoiler warnings below to check out the spoiler-heavy video. I will say this: it’s a huge improvement and it gives a ton of closure.
