Nintendo Officially Confirms Absence At E3 2023
By Alleef Ashaari|February 27, 2023|1 Comment
Nintendo has officially confirmed that they will not be attending E3 2023.
Speaking with IGN, a Nintendo spokesperson said:
“We approach our involvement in any event on a case-by-case basis and are always considering various ways to engage with our fans. Since this year’s E3 show didn’t fit into our plans, we have made the decision to not participate. However, we have been and continue to be a strong supporter of the ESA and E3.”
This partly confirms our previous report that major game companies PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo would be skipping E3. Nintendo has already confirmed their absence, so now we’re waiting for official statements from PlayStation and Xbox.
E3 2023 is slated to take place from 13 June to 16 June 2023 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. With Nintendo out of the picture, E3 will need to do something drastic to make sure they are still relevant this summer.
