Apex Legends Might Be Available On The Nintendo Switch One Day
By Syazwan Bahri|April 15, 2019|0 Comment
One of the best battle royales on the market right now, Apex Legends, has been played by more than 50 million players. So that’s 50 million players playing on PC, Xbox One, and the PS4 combined. Now, let’s take a step back and see who’s missing. Yes, the Nintendo Switch has been left out of the party.
So far there’s no indication whether the intense battle royale will land on the Switch, but Drew McCoy, Project Lead on Apex Legends, may have given some leads to a Switch port. This came in recently during a Twitter Q&A for Wired.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a5uoeSs_W8]If you’d kindly skip to the 7:15 mark, or you can just click here, you’ll see McCoy responding to a question about the game coming to the Switch.
If you’re lazy to watch the video, like me, or just saving up on your data, here’s what McCoy said;
“If Switch was coming, we would tell you and we would blast it across the world. We are hearing all the Switch players who say they want the game. I can’t make any promises right now. We have a lot of things that we’re working on, so stay tuned for anything in the future. But currently we don’t have anything to announce.”
The line “I can’t make any promises right now” sounds promising, ironically. It makes it sound like something is going on in the background, but it’s still a blur.
The Switch will be the perfect console to play this game on, as it’s a fast-paced game. Load times are short, while a whole game wouldn’t take longer than 25 minutes. That version of the game might take a while to come out since Respawn already has their hands full with that Star Wars game.
