Diablo 4 Will Let You Rebind Your Left Mouse Button, Play Couch Co-Op, & More
One of Blizzard’s money-making IPs will be getting a slight overhaul thanks to feedback from last year. No, I’m not talking about the Warcraft series, but about Diablo 4.
Blizzard gave its fans an updateregarding its next mothership hack-and-slash action RPG lootfest title. Here are the highlights:
We know darn well that the Diablo series is the clickiest game around, so for the first time you can now separate the move and primary attack button to two different inputs. Previously, you can do both on the left mouse button depending on the circumstances.
Now you can separate them to have more control over your character. So instead of mistakingly attacking when you actually want to run away, you can just, well, escape!
Yes, you can now play the PC version of Diablo 4 with any controller you want. Don’t judge; those trigger and shoulder buttons are better hotkeys than you give them credit for.
During our preview, our freelancers noticed that the skill bar in the Blizzcon 2019 build was on the left. The devs are now keeping it in the centre just like in the previous games.
Because people loved Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls’ co-op mode, the Blizzard team will just keep Diablo 4’s same-screen multiplayer just for two players. They will improve the experience and set up core progression UI screens so that they can be opened independently or at the same time.
Diablo 4’s enemies will be divided into families, like the tribal Fallen (ie those imps in past Diablo titles) and the shore-wandering Drowned. The next family Blizzard is introducing is the Cannibal family: human enemies who come in various sizes who most likely want to eat you.
You can read up more on thegame’s updates here. Check out our preview of Diablo 4 here. So far, there’s no release date for this action RPG just yet.
