Altered Carbon: Resleeved Trailer Gives Us First Look At The CG Anime

Altered Carbon‘s second season has ended, but fans will be reunited with Takeshi Kovacs in just a few days.

Set to release on 19 March 2020, Altered Carbon: Resleeved is an anime movie that sees Kovacs dealing with the yakuza on the planet Latimer. A yakuza boss has died, and Kovacs has to team up with a Colonial Tactical Assault Corps member to protect an important tattooist.

As with many of Netflix’s exclusive anime, Resleeved features 3D-CG animation. Unlike shows like Ultraman or the upcoming Ghost in the Shell, however, the Altered Carbon spin-off sports a cel-shaded look that brings Telltale’s games to mind.

While I wish Netflix would focus a bit more on non-CG anime, the action scenes in Resleeved do look pretty rad. I’d probably watch it with Japanese voice-acting if the option’s available though.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention: Cowboy Bebop writer Dai Sato is involved in this movie.
