FFVII Remake & Kingdom Hearts Japanese Voice Actor Dies At 55

Japanese seiyuu and voice actor Keiji Fujiwara has passed away at the age of 55 after battling cancer for several years. His death was reported by his family, who held a private wake and funeral for the legendary voice actor (via Crunchyroll).
The late Fujiwara is best known for voicing Hiroshi Nohara (Shin-chan’s father) in Crayon Shin-chan, Holland in Eureka 7, Maes Hughes in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Leorio in the 2011 Hunter × Hunter anime, Axel in Kingdom Hearts, Ardyn in Final Fantasy XV, and ACDC in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
His other famous roles included Ladd Russo in Baccano!, Shuichi Aizawa in Death Note, Ali al-Saachez in Gundam 00, ShirÅ Fujimoto in Blue Exorcist, Eugen in Granblue Fantasy, and the Japanese dub voice for Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fujiwara’s final credited role before his passing was reprising the role of Reno in Final Fantasy VII Remake after having been playing the popular character since 2005’s Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.
