By Melvyn Tan|April 2, 2020|0 Comment
Kojima Productions announced that it would temporarily close its office floor and implement remote working after an employee tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The Death Stranding developer made the announcement on 30 March, the date it found out about the positive test result. “The employee has been at home from March 20th and as such has not entered the office since then,” they wrote. “During that time, the employee underwent a PCR test, which returned a positive result today.”

According to the statement, public health authorities told them that closing the office wasn’t mandatory since the employee experienced symptoms outside of the office, meaning that the other employees wouldn’t be considered as close contacts. However, the studio decided to take precautions anyway. In addition to closing the office and working remotely, they will carry out sanitization and have “support for the health condition of all staff”.
Kojima Productions also wrote that they will continue to work with the public health authorities and take “additional precautions as necessary”. Kakuchopurei would like to wish Kojima Productions employees a speedy recovery.
