Suicide Squad & Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Are Still On Schedule
By Melvyn Tan|April 17, 2020|0 Comment
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has affected several production schedules already, but there are two superhero movies – one DC and one Marvel – that are still on track.
A few days back, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn wrote on Twitter that both The Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3Â remain on track, and that “there’s no reason” for The Suicide Squad‘s release to be postponed.
In the case of the former, he said:
“We were extremely fortunate to wrap shooting & set up editing from our homes (due to a post-production team & studio with foresight) before quarantine.”
Gunn offered fewer details about GOTG 3Â but simply said that the plans for the movie remain unaltered.
Right now there’s no reason for #TheSuicideSquad release date to move. We are on or ahead of schedule. We were extremely fortunate to wrap shooting & set up editing from our homes (due to a post production team & studio with foresight) before quarantine. https://t.co/URRFXX58r3

Right now the plans with Vol 3 are also exactly the same as they were before coronavirus. https://t.co/cVHe31gtPQ

The Suicide Squad is currently scheduled to release on 6 August 2021, while GOTG 3Â will release on 5 November 2021. In the meantime, you can check out The Suicide Squad‘s full cast list, which features faces both new and old, and even several Guardians of the Galaxy actors. Let’s hope it’s better than the previous movie.
