Zack Snyder Teases Darkseid In First Look At His Justice League

Last month, Zack Snyder shocked the world when he announced that his cut of the 2017’s Justice League will finally be seeing the light of day on HBO Max in 2021. Now, the director behind 2009’s Watchmen has unveiled our first look at his Justice League with a teaser that heralds the coming of none other than the Lord of Apokolips himself.

Snyder Justice League

That’s right, folks, Darkseid is coming in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. In the brief teaser trailer, we see Diana Prince AKA Wonder Woman exploring a mysterious tomb with a lit torch, before stumbling upon an ancient relief painting of a familiar dark figure with a cube-like object.

All of this is accompanied by a narration of Jesse Eisenberg’s voice-over as Lex Luthor from 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice:

“The bell’s already been rung, and they’ve heard it out in the dark, among the stars. Ding dong, the god is dead.”

That dark figure is Darkseid, or probably a younger version of the dark lord from his days as Uxas the New God. He will likely play a larger role in the plot of Zack Snyder’s version of the movie.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is slated to premiere exclusively on HBO Max sometime in 2021. In the meantime, check out the teaser below.
