Robotech To Be Streamed On Funimation & Compiled In A Blu-Ray Set
Robotech, the classic mecha anime from the 80s, is making a comeback courtesy of Funimation.
All 85 episodes will be on Funanimation’s streaming service, as well as on a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray box set. The latter collection will be out on 28th September, and features:
That is a LOT of Robotech. Perfect for those who want to binge on an anime series that’s a Frankenstein’s monster of other anime. See, Robotech is made up of spliced anime bits from Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and MOSPEADA.
The show is a polarizing subject among anime fans and purists, but somehow the hybrid show ends up getting its own dedicated fanbase and a massive following. Just remember that the mid-80s was a different time back then when anime wasn’t as big as it is now and broadcasting standards were pretty strict when it comes to episode numbers. So keep an open mind, fanboy.
