Mark Rubin Breaks Silence With Update On XDefiant’s Release

In case you missed it, there’s been a bit of a shake-up in the XDefiant release schedule. The buzz from last week’s announcement hinted that our summer gaming plans might take a hit, and now, it’s official.

Mark Rubin, the XDefiant Producer, took to Twitter to drop the bomb. Here’s the scoop: Even though we’re in the Final Submission phase, a few gremlins have popped up in the game’s code. These bugs are stubborn enough that the dev team thinks it’s crucial to iron them out before the big launch.

So, what’s the latest update on the XDefiant release date, you ask? Well, grab your calendar, because here it comes.

Rubin’s September 20th update kicks off with a friendly greeting to all the XDefiant fans eagerly waiting for the game. He’s got some news to share, and he wants you to be in the loop.

As Rubin mentioned in his last post, they’re knee-deep in the Final Submission phase. The good news is that the earlier First Submission phase helped them prep for this one, and they’re feeling pretty confident. Sure, they still have to cross the t’s and dot the i’s, but Ubisoft and the gaming giants, Microsoft and Sony, have this process down to a science. It’s like they’re the pros of pros, which makes life easier for the developers.

But wait, there’s more. The submission phase isn’t just about ticking off boxes for compatibility and making sure everything works like a charm on each platform. They’re also on the hunt for sneaky issues that would be embarrassing to ship with. Their internal QA/QC teams are on the case, and the final report from the big shots at Microsoft and Sony is due soon.

However, there’s a twist in this tale. They’ve stumbled upon some pesky bugs and issues that they don’t want lurking in the final product. They’re in the process of evaluating the fixes, running some hefty tests, and they’ll give us the lowdown when they have more to share.

Rubin does offer a heartfelt apology for missing the original launch window they aimed for. They’re burning the midnight oil to deliver the best game possible to their fans. Usually, they wouldn’t spill all these behind-the-scenes details, but they figure it’s a cool way to keep the community in the loop. Plus, they’re hoping there are some fellow game development enthusiasts out there who enjoy peeking behind the curtain. They admit they were a tad too ambitious with their initial expectations, all because they’re pumped to get XDefiant into the hands of their devoted fans.

It’s a bummer, no doubt, but it’s also understandable. We’re all itching to dive into XDefiant, but we’d rather have a smooth, bug-free experience when we do.

So, based on Rubin’s statement, it looks like we’ll have to wait until early to mid-October to dive into the world of this free-to-play shooter. Patience, my friends, patience.
