New Tenet Trailer Debuts On Fortnite, Teases Epic Action & Time Travel

Update (22 May 2020):

The new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s new science fiction film Tenet has been released and… it’s confusing as heck, which is expected from the same brilliant director that gave us similarly-twisty films, 2000’s Memento and 2011’s Inception, amongst others.

Tenet is described as an “action epic evolving from the world of international espionage”. We still know next to nothing about the details of the plot or characters, but the movie will heavily involve what seems to be complex (or convoluted) time travel mechanics. Written and directed by Christopher Nolan himself, the movie was filmed on location across seven countries.

The movie stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.

The score for Tenet is composed by Ludwig Göransson, best known for composing the music in Star Wars’ The Mandalorian, Marvel Studios’ Black Panther and the Community TV series.

According to the description below the trailer on YouTube, the release date for Tenet remains 17 July 2020. In the meantime, check out the epic new trailer below.

Tenet Fortnite

Fortnite’s new Party Royale island will play host to the unveiling of a new trailer for none other than Christopher Nolan’s new science fiction film Tenet later at 8pm ET on 21 May 2020 (or 8am GMT+8 on 22 May 2020 for Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia).

The trailer will apparently air once every hour in Fortnite, though it’s not clear how long it’ll be available, or if it will immediately be launching on other platforms like YouTube at the same time.

This isn’t the first time that the wider entertainment world of film and TV has come to Fortnite. The battle royale game has previously featured the premiere for Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker and more recently, streaming service Quibi’s reboot of Punk’d.

However, the new Tenet trailer will receive the honour of being the first-ever feature on the brand new Fortnite Party Royale island, which functions as an “ever-evolving” social space and has already hosted two live music concerts featuring Diplo and Deadmau5.

Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is tentatively slated to release on 17 July 2020. In the meantime, rewatch the old trailer below. We’ll update this article with the new one when it premieres.
