Bren Esports Are Your Mobile Legends M2 World Champions

After a weeklong battle, we finally have your top Mobile Legends winning team of 2021: Bren Esports from the Philippines.

Bren Esports is the grand prize winner of the Mobile Legends M2 World Championship that took place last week from 18th January until 24th January (which is today).

The grand finals of the Mobile Legends M2 World Championship 2021 took place in Singapore earlier today. It was a fierce bout of battles between Myanmar’s Burmese Ghouls and the Philippines’ Bren Esports. Ultimately, the Filipino team emerged victorious, winning 4-2 in a Best Of Seven (7) bracket.

Bren Esports had quite a lower bracket run, defeating RRQ Hoshi 3-1, defeating AE 2-1, and conquering sole Malaysian team Todak 2-1. Close fights, we have to say.

Here are the placements of the teams who fought their damndest in this global mobile MOBA esports tournament.

  1. Bren Esports (Philippines)
  2. Burmese Ghouls (Myanmar)
  3. RRQ Hoshi (Indonesia)
  4. Alter Ego (Indonesia)
  5. Omega Esports (Philippines)
  6. Todak (Malaysia)
  7. 10S (Japanese)
  8. EVOS SG (Singapore)

Last year, Indonesian team EVOS Legends were the champions of the inaugural M1 World Championship 2020, which took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Organised by Moonton in collaboration with Singapore’s Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), M2 was the first global offline esports event to be held in Southeast Asia in 2021 as top esports teams from around the world will be converging in the safe confines of Shangri-La Hotel Singapore to battle for a prize pool of US$300,000 behind closed doors.

Bren Esports walks away with US$140,000 in cash and will also receive its very own skin integrated with the team’s branding on a hero of choice.

Mobile Legends recently reached one billion downloads on iOS and Android mobile phones in November 2020, with over 9.77 billion matches played and 9.8 million players having reached the top rank of Mythic.
