Rise Of The Ronin Allies: All 32 Allies & How To Get The Social Climber Trophy

Team Ninja’s latest title, Rise Of The Ronin, is out now for the PS5. You can head on over here for our spoiler-free review of the game.

The game features a Bond system, where certain characters that you build relationships with will be able to join you during missions. At launch, there are 32 allies in the game.

Here is a list of all 32 allies (not in any particular order):

  1. Gonzo
  2. Ryoma Sakamoto
  3. Jules Brunet
  4. Matthew Perry
  5. Genzui Kusaka
  6. Kogoro Katsura
  7. Shinsaku Takasugi
  8. Tosumichi Okubo
  9. Sana Chiba
  10. Motsugai Takeda
  11. Toranosuke Shimada
  12. Yasusuke Sawamura
  13. Rutherford Alcock
  14. Tesshu Yamaoka
  15. Koto Nakazawa
  16. 1Isami Kondo
  17. Toshizo Hijikata
  18. Aritomo Yamagata
  19. Hirobumi Ito
  20. Jigoro Kano
  21. Alexandria Moreau
  22. Hajime Saito
  23. Kaishu Katsu
  24. Takamori Saigo
  25. Kiyotaka Kuroda
  26. Akikatsu Manabe
  27. Eiichi Shibusawa
  28. Earnest Satow
  29. Soji Okita
  30. Shinpachi Nagakura
  31. Yoshinobu Tokugawa
  32. Deishu Takahashi

That’s basically a checklist for your convenience to see if you missed recruiting anyone.

However, there’s one important note that I should point out.

You can pretty much collect at least 31 of the 32 allies in Rise Of The Ronin naturally by simply completing all the story missions and side missions (Bond missions, etc.).

During my playthrough, in my attempt to obtain the Rise Of The Ronin Platinum trophy, I managed to obtain all the trophies except for one, which was the Social Climber trophy (where you have to take part in missions with all available allies).

It’s extremely easy to miss 1 of these 32 allies because you won’t get him naturally by doing missions or progressing through the game.

So, here’s how to get that one last ally to obtain the Social Climber trophy and get the Rise Of The Ronin Platinum trophy:

How To Get Deishu Takahashi As An Ally In Rise Of The Ronin

In Rise Of The Ronin, you can actually gain Deishu Takahashi as an ally arguably as early as Chapter 2 when you gain access to the Military Academy in Edo via story progression.

However, since you don’t get him naturally by completing the story and side missions, it’s entirely possible for you to miss out on getting him as an ally if you don’t interact with him.

It’s easy to miss Deishu Takahashi because he is one of several NPCs that you talk to if you want to start doing activities in the Dojo. However, unlike other Dojo NPCs, he doesn’t have a side mission attached to him so it’s easy to go the entire game without talking to him.

But now that you know about this, building a Bond with him and recruiting him as an ally is as simple as talking to him and completing at least one fight in the Dojo.

And voila, Deishu Takahashi is now your ally, and for the rest of the allies, just do EVERY story mission and side mission in the game, and you’ll come by them naturally.

Here are some pictures to help you identify Deishu Takahashi and his location:
